It was fun, but I was expecting a bit more from it. A bit basic to be honest, but nothing bad. The ending was hilarious!!!

The double meaning in this book's title is so clever: not only is the banana a rebellious SOB, but according to the supermarket overlords he is past his best. Not happy with being consigned to the reject pile, banana decides to get the rest of the reject fruit involved in a jailbreak!
The illustrations in this book are vibrant, easily capturing the attention of very little ones, but with the adventures of the cheeky fruit being so funny it's bound to appeal to older ones as well. Not only that, but it teaches children that just because you're in the reject pile it doesn't mean you aren't just as good as the other fruit, so it should help combat some of struggles with fussy eaters.
