A powerful story of rape and sexual assault told from the perspective of a 14 year old girl. Although this book is frequently banned and censured, I think it should be required reading for high school students.

Powerful! Well written story about a horrible experience and how it is dealt with.

Wow. I may be slightly bias as this content of this book is very close to home but I must admit I cried a lot once I had finished reading the last page. Whilst some bits were triggering, I found the book to be incredibly comforting and a reminder that there is life after sexual assault and rape. It was a reminder that was very much needed. I found this book to be well written and powerful and just beautiful. I related a lot to the main character and I felt such joy at the end. I do think that a few things that were written were a little too simplistic and I would have liked for the book to explore her mental well-being more, however I really enjoyed reading this!!
