First half of this book was basically erotica, which I didn't mind, but whew, quite the difference from the first book in the series. We're still getting huge lecture blurbs in the dialogue, and same with word vomiting from Jessamina when she's unhappy about something. It's not really realistic in a heated argument for someone to calmly spew out a 6 sentence paragraph of reasoning. Latter half still has a ton of smut, but there's more active plot and problem solving than the first half.
One of my significant issues is that I didn't really like how Sam developed as a character in the book. I was hoping he was actually a true asshole at this point so there would be some huge reveal and we could get it over with, but unfortunately, it turns out that
We also get some POV from the other characters, including Constance, which was kind of an odd choice unless we plan on having her redeem herself at some point. I hate seeing villain POVs and knowing the crappy things they are planning for our heroes. :(
Once we learned who Mina's mother was, it really wasn't hard to guess who her dad was... Saving it for a big reveal in the last few pages wasn't terribly exciting.
Lastly, Mina really turned into a huge Mary Sue with OP powers by the end of the book with new powers springing up constantly. The ending was very unsatisfactory with her TSTL behavior even with all these superpowers.
I enjoyed the overall action and the smut scenes, but I don't think that the writing and plot development was very cohesive. The cliffhanger ending with Mina, but it is what it is. I still plan on reading the next book when it comes out just to satisfy my curiosity and read the smut.
P.S. Why does the cover show Collector's Division, but every reference in the book is Collectors Division? Which one is right?

Constance has siren-like abilities from an experiment by her Archangel father and was mind-controlling Sam to be shitty to Mina and the rest of the team. The scene where he figures out what's happening and getting blessed by the goddess was also incredibly cheesy - it didn't fit in very well with the rest of the plot.We also get some POV from the other characters, including Constance, which was kind of an odd choice unless we plan on having her redeem herself at some point. Oh my god! This book was freaking amazing! In Guardians Blood we pick up where the last book left off. Things are not looking great for Team Alpha, especially not Mina. The Team needs to make a tough decision in order to save her and that unravels a whole lot of new crazy information we didn’t have before. Honestly, this book had it all, hot hot hot romance, action, a strong and fierce FMC, and drama. I cannot wait to see what happens next!

WOW
These cliffhangers are getting better and better. I’m not going to spoil anything but OMGG. On to book 3 Ahhh… Slight Spoiler⚠️ The scene where Mina gave Trick and Sander bjs while she was invisible was hilarious. When she turned her self into an old woman LMAOOO

Book 2 of the Collector's Division series starts out strong. With Mina in a coma, and after the cliffhanger in book 1, I was very happy to be able to dive right back into this! I was not expecting any of this book.
While a couple of things become clear throughout the book, I didn't find that it was overly predictable. I loved that there was multiple POV from all of Alpha Team, and some new characters. It felt like it was a good pace, and kept my interest throughout the book. Major cliffhanger at the end, I am glad I waited until the series was complete to read!

This was awesome!! Love Mina and her Team. The story goes from strength to strength - the world building and characterisation draws you in. Team Alpha have their work cut out in this book - relationships are tested and then a big cliffy at the end. Brilliant!

I enjoyed reading the second instalment in the series and seeing Mina's powers and relationships grow. Although, the multiple perspectives, at times, caused the book overall to feel disjointed and lacked an easy flow in the book.
However, the ending of the first and second books felt really rushed and resembled more of an amateur cliff hanger than a published writer. Nevertheless, I do plan to continue reading onto the third and final book in the series.
