I really liked the concept - where are all the other apocalypse romances? - but not going to lie, the age gap, etc. in this made the romance icky for me.

I liked the story but prefer the hero to be a little less insecure. there’s a little too much cheese, if you know what I mean. and the word “silly” is used A LOT, way more than acceptable for a smut book.

I randomly found this book and I’m so glad I did because this book is a little treasure.
I’m not a big dystopian fan but I guess this more on the apocalyptic “the world like we used to know it has ended and now we have to start again” kind of book, which was surprisingly so good and full of hope.
It’s very romance heavy so don’t expect Hunger Games. There’s no epic battle or huge battle scene and I’m so happy about it because I hate them. It’s just about two people who travel together because the world is not safe and they need each other and they fall in love and it’s all so quiet and soft and cute and lovely. There’s real communication between the two characters and THE HERO IS A SOFTIE, like he BLUSHES girls. But there’s also a lot of sex scenes and cuddling moments. ITS PERFECT READ IT NOW.

My warped brain read this as a Daryl Dixon walking dead fanfic, and it felt like coming home
