Very cheesy and could have been written better but the plot is great. Had a lot of potential. Not executed well. I will keep reading the series though, because I’ve heard great things. It’s almost like a mix of vampire diaries and Harry Potter?

This book is an absolute mess… but in the most entertaining way possible! It’s cheesy, chaotic, and completely addictive.  I tore through it in one day.

It throws everything at you: fae, vampires, werewolves, unicorns, dragons, shapeshifters, mermaids, a magical school, zodiac signs, elemental magic, tarot cards, murder, royalty, and spice. It’s a wild mix that somehow works, making for a total junk food read, dramatic, over-the-top, and impossible to put down.

And now I need the next book ASAP!

Content Warnings: Bullying, violence, murder, emotional and physical abuse, graphic sexual content.

The brutality felt over the top and unnecessary to me, along with how the teachers leave the girls to flounder

Was this good? No. Am I going to read the next book… *sigh* yes. Anyway, I don’t recommend if you have any experience with sexual harassment/assault or bullying because I feel like it could be very triggering and definitely made me feel super uncomfortable at times. On the other hand, if you want a silly goofy time romantasy that’s addictive and can look past the walking red flags all the men display in this book…yeah this is the one for you. I have definitely found my guilty pleasure series of the year 🤦🏻‍♀️

Wow did the characters in this book make me angry, but it was so good. I honestly wish I'd read it sooner ins ead of hesitating so long on it. That ending has me wanting to go straight into the second book and if I didn't have ARCs to read right now I would. I can't wait to see what happens next. I absolutely recommend.

I’m not usually a fan of teenage characters, but since Tory and Darcy are 18, I can roll with it. That said, Zodiac Academy is brutal, and the
twins are seriously out of their depth despite their power.
The Heirs (Darius, Caleb, Max, and Seth) are as gorgeous as they are cruel, making them compelling but infuriating. Then there’s Orion—the hot professor who is quickly climbing my list of men to root for. The story is a definite slow burn, with some typical teenage thinking from the characters. I prefer Tory over Darcy—she feels more badass. The dual POV works well, and I love the banter, wit, and variety of shifters
beyond the usual vampires, werewolves, and dragons.
The cliffhanger ending has me hooked, and I’m intrigued to see how the romance plays out since this isn’t a reverse harem. So far, this feels like a wild, addictive ride, and I’m hoping for more adventure, spice, and banter in the next books.
