Vendetta in Death
3.5 Stars
In their latest case, Eve Dallas and her team investigate the death of a successful businessman who was apparently targeted by a vigilante calling herself Lady Justice.
The case is interesting at the start with a particularly intelligent albeit violent villain. Nevertheless, there are several recycled plot points and motifs from the previous books, and the tension and suspense rapidly dissipate once the killer's identity is revealed at the halfway mark. Once this occurs, the pacing slows as the focus shifts to Eve collecting sufficient evidence to prove her gut instinct with regard to the woman's guilt.
On other problematic issue is the explanation for the killer's actions, which relies too heavily on the outdated notion of a woman scorned. The fact that Lady Justice is ultimately determined to be only compounds the negative stereotypes of hysterical women and negates her culpability and responsibility, which is exceedingly annoying.
Despite these issues, it is always fun to spend time with Robb's characters and enjoy their interactions and dialogue.
The next book is #50, a significant milestone in the series. Hopefully, it will live up to expectations.

Another great instalment in this series. Great tension and build up to the ending.

Pretty good
This book is fun as the In Death series always are, of very reminiscent of a similar earlier book plot. I think my favorite part, as usual, is seeing the real time changes in Eve’s personal world.

4.5 stars. A rather intriguing case, but a little slow for an Eve Dallas investigation...not as many intense moments.
