I adore Wes and Rebel Blue, and while this was a quick and flirty read I wanted to through the book multiple times because of Ada. She only defining features are her personal relationship trauma, low self-esteem, and her inability to think decisions through before acting. About 20% of the time I could relate to some of her internal thoughts, but the rest of the time she just frustrated me. And while the main characters had really good chemistry, the way the relationship jumped from Ada trying to hate Wes to Ada letting things happen didn’t really make sense and felt out of place. She tried hard to be mean and to push people away and would run away (literally) instead of just talking. And when she did talk, she put her foot in her mouth a lot. Kind of “pick me girl” energy without the confidence. Wes is amazing and honestly deserves better 😬 I could not get behind Ada.

I read Swift and Saddled almost immediately after reading D&D and I'm so glad I did! Lyla Sage knows how to write delightful, sweet, spicy, low angst romance. Wes and Ada are the epitome of city girl x country boy and I loved every second.

I'm once again sat here wishing Meadowlark was a real place that I could move to. I want to visit the shops and bars and get to know all Ryders and their friends.

A depressed hero??? Who talks about previous episodes??? Who acknowledges that he takes meds for his depression??? I love Wes so much. He's so important!! And the way he loved Ada down was just ahhhh!!

Saw this series all over Bookstagram and TikTok and I like to see what all the fuss was about I don’t usually go for Westerns (too much toxic masculinity for this woman) but
This one was a fun pallet cleanser for me. I listened to this audiobook in one day while unwinding and unpacking from a recent trip. I see what all the hype is about. Is it great literature? No. But there is a hot cowboy who is well adjusted, kind and honest about his mental illness. (Green Flags all around)

I adore this series so much. It’s sweet and heartfelt but has the perfect little hit of angst. I cannot wait for Gus and Teddy’s book!

This book was phenomenal. The narrators really brought it to life in the best way. I loved the meet cute. I loved the way Ada and Wes opened up to each other. I loved their chemistry and passion. I loved the mental health representation. I loved how supportive they were of each other's dreams. I loved how the side friendships evolved. I loved everything about this book.

Wes and Ada were so precious. With Ada's past, she is hesitant to be in any semblance of romantic relationship. But Wes is patient and soft, respecting her wishes but proving with actions how he feels about her. Their vulnerability with one another was so heart-warming and to see two people who thought that they weren't good enough find that one person that made them feel like they were everything, made my heart soar.
