An enchanting Australian gothic novella full of rich and thrilling folk tales woven beautifully into a single narrative. This was very reminiscent of Over The Garden Wall with its gradual unraveling of the dark lore surrounding the secluded and deeply haunted Inglewell District. An excellent mystery and a gorgeously told story.
Moderate: Injury/Injury detail, Death, Violence, and Murder

Not bad, but the writing lost me and the ending was not all that satisfying. The writing was too ornate and disjointed. I was confused for the better part of this story. However, I do want to say that the atmosphere was great. The shell of the world Kathleen Jennings created was interesting and dark, I wish there was more to it, though, and I wish the characters were more fleshed out. This has all the creepy, gothic family drama and storytelling I should have loved, but I couldn't connect with the story in a way I thought I would.
Moderate: Death
