I wasn’t sure if I would ever finish this book. Tbh it was quite slow and boring for about the first 250 pages- I nearly gave up! Hence the long time for reading it bc I kept letting it go back to the library. Well, it got better and more page turny the further I got into it. I liked learning about what Mab, Os and Beth got up to at BP and the details surrounding their code breaking skills. I think this book could have been about 250 pages shorter

This didn’t pull me in as much as I was hoping… didn’t get exciting until 2/3rds of the way through the book. Cool perspectives on these three women but definitely wouldn’t re-read

This was such a great read! I read THE ROSE CODE during August and I’m still thinking about it.

I love historical fiction reads that I learn new things from and that make me ask, ‘Wow, did that really happen?’ Regarding this, the Author’s Note at the end of THE ROSE CODE did not disappoint & sent me down the Wikipedia rabbit hole looking historical events up.

Utterly enthralling and highly entertaining, I flew through this 500+ page book in just a few days. Don’t let the size of this book put you off - the story rockets along. The developing mystery and the stories of the 3 brilliant main characters will leave you, like me, unable to put the book down for very long.

I tend to space out my historical fiction reads, particularly the wartime reads, because they always break my heart a bit and there’s certainly heartache throughout this book, but this beautifully intricate story, woven so perfectly into real life events, will carry you through and deliver emotions both painful & joyous.

I highly recommend THE ROSE CODE for fans of WWII historical fiction. It’s left me not only keen to read Kate Quinn’s other books, but to find out more about Bletchley Park activities during the war.

This one took me a little while to get into, but once I did I was hooked. Great story that was at different times exciting, devastating, and interesting. I loved it!

This is the best book that I've read in awhile.....it has everything.....suspense, romance, friendship, espionage.....Read it in 2 days because I couldn't put it down! Very well written, you can see some of the scenes taking place in front of you as your read each page. This was a part of WWII that I knew NOTHING about prior to reading The Rose Code. Highly recommend!! Be sure to read the Author's note as well as the story itself!!
