Increíble. Su estilo tiene un gusto de misterio y romanticismo pero mantiene una calidad alta de literatura. Se recuerda de los personajes de sus libros pasados con capaz de un escritor fenomenal. Uno de mis libros favoritos.

Beautifully written and translated this is the third in a series of stories although it can be read before the others and it did leave me wanting to read the others. The dark and gothic descriptions of the poor side of Barcelona in the fifties, and the even darker parts set in a remote castle jail in the forties, where the inmates and jailers could be evil, are offset by the witticisms of our main character, Fermin, and the sense of friendship and love woven between the characters who deserve it.  The story is part thriller and part slow building mystery while the cemetery of forgotten books has the slightest whiff of fantasy about it.

There has always been an element of mystery surrounding Fermin, and in the Prisoner of Heaven we get down to the bottom of it.

When a man enters the Sempere & Sons bookshop asking questions about Fermin before leaving a message for him,

"For Fermin Romero de Torres, who came back from among the dead and holds the key to the future."

Daniels friend finally opens up and tells us his story.

A must read for any Cemetery of Forgotten Books fan.
