The general idea: I woke up in a convent and can't remember how I got there.

Thoughts upon seeing the cover art: I love it!!

It made me feel: I absolutely love Ally Carter! This is the her best book yet!

Highlight: Rachel Morgan.

Read it if you like: Spies, amnesia, Italy

This book is epic! It's a giant leap from all the first four boks combined together. For many reasons:

1. I can see how Cammie and her friends literally grow. Back in book 1, Cammie is just a lovey dovey girl who uses her spying talents to earn her crush. Her friends help her. They are oblivious from the real deal. The climaxes in the first 2 books are school related. Starting at book 3, the story gets more darker and well, real as Cammie is practically stumbled into the real danger.

2. The small sub-plots that may seem unclear and totally irrelevant to the big story at first, but then make up into a coherent revelation at the end of the story. I honestly thought Carter would forget about the Christmas report etc, but I figured everything out during the last pages of the book! Carter's so good that way.

3. The twists that I didn't see coming. Simply said. There are too many unsolved knots but then figured out at the end because of the twists!

As a conclusion, I can't help but say this book is getting darker and has more thrill than the previous books, as if Carter is aware that GG loyal readers are growing mature that her characters must also grow as well. Which is terrific.

Cute series. I started it when I was younger but had only read the first book, I wanted to read the rest and just finally got to it. It was less engaging now that I've gotten older, but it is still a cute/interesting story.

This was a very good book! It wasn't my favorite, but it was good!

I KNEW that someone from the inside of the Gallagher Academy was working for the Circle. I thought it was actually Agent Townsend, but I did have my suspicions about Dr. Steve. And I KNEW that Preston's dad was up to no good! I knew that he was a bad guy from the moment they were in Rome! I felt very clever for feeling that he was the bad guy.

Spoiler I got confused in about the gunpowder thing in the Gilly's castle because the reason Catherine didn't take it was because it was of the booby trap but Cammie didn't trigger it at all? I just got a little confused. And then also Cammie remembers the list of names on the napkin her dad dropped six years ago, before she was even in spy school. That's a little bit too unrealistic. Unless I didn't understand the text and she found the same napkin in a hiding place somewhere, that just co fused me.

Overall I thought it was a good book and I can't wait for the final one to come out!!

This was an enjoyable read. The story was enjoyable. I thought the characters were great, except for Bex. I thought Bex was not acting the way a friend should act. I mean, you should be happy to se your friend alive, but no, she had no reaction whatsoever. I felt bad for Cammie in this book because she lost her memories of the summer. I wondered what she did to become a International incident. I know I say this about every book, but each book is better than the last for me. I really like Gilly. I was happy with the plot twist with the "key" and list. I was shocked to find out that
Spoiler Zach's mother is a bad guy in the story
. Overall, a great read.
