Absolutely fabulous! My now 11 year old son and I have been reading this very slowly over the course of a year or more---a chapter every couple of months or so, and tonight we've finished. Such a sweet story book---I'm so glad we had that time.

Ours is a lovely 1944 hardback edition with a gift inscription written inside: "Mary Beth from Cousin Arthur 1944".

It was fun to read the book that inspired so many cartoons I've seen over the years. I'll be interested to see if Tigger appears in one of the later books.

I loved having this book read to me when I was little, and now I love reading chapters of it to my daughter. Even if that made it twice as long to read.

Ok. I am having a life crisis. Winnie the Pooh's REAL NAME is EDWARD BEAR?! WHAT THE?!

"Edward Bear, known to his friends as Winnie-the-Pooh, or Pooh for short..."

WHAAAAT!

It’s a cute little read. I love the little humor in some of the lines. It does lack diversity (everyone except for Kanga is male), but the book was written a very long time ago haha so that makes sense.
