Angela again starts getting visions about a painting, except this time it is a Caravaggio and she and Alex may both be connected to this painting as well. They work on finding this missing painting, but it may be even more dangerous than last time with even more shocking revelations, lies, and secrets threatening them in their search.

What a great sequel to the first book! I love how we get to see Alex and Angel’s relationship as they navigate being engaged and how that affects their work. It is really great seeing them interact with their parents and getting so many revelations and background information on each of them in this book.

Like the last book in the series, the mystery is gripping and nerve-wracking. You don’t want to put it down from the suspense you experience solving the mystery and finding out what comes next. You really feel the emotions of the characters in tense scenes, helping you connect with the story really well!

A great historical fiction book with real-life historical elements about art history. A great take on time travel and a paranormal fantasy story. Really interesting to see historical figures play a role in the story. Definitely recommend!
