One of my two favorites by Louis L'Amour. Really like this book and don't know exactly why. Made me think of how innately the drive / hunger to explore is tied into us. Scenes that linger: (chicory) cowboy coffee.

Another in L'Amour's saga of the Sackett family, this one highlighting the fictional explorations of Jubal Sackett, a son of Barnabas. He travels alone into the "far-seeing lands," but doesn't stay alone for long. Like others in his storied family, he seems to attract adventure with nearly every step to the west. Pretty good book, although not one of my favorites.
