Book five in The Wedding Date series, and I enjoyed learning more about the characters in this series.

This one has a bit of a celebrity-romance going on. It starts out as a fling, but quickly turns into more, yet because he’s the senator, there’s a lot of hiding, secrecy, and avoid paparazzi.

This book was cute and I really did like the characters, but parts of it felt dragged out a bit and while life does often complicate relationships, it seemed as though their solutions could have been determined sooner than what actually ended up happening.

Not currently in the mood to finish this story. It just isn't giving me much and Max is about to be stupid so I'm good stopping and not finishing the story right now. I would probably lower my rating of this to a 3.5. Some elements K really liked in this re-read but it also fell flat at some points.

wasn’t my favorite of hers but maybe i wasn’t in the mood for it?? i usually love her fast love stories but this one was a bit too much as far as ‘romance’ and predictability
didn’t hate it but didn’t love it

It's a sweet, fun read! I adored the ending--how Max made up with Olivia. But I did put the book down for a while, and I thought I wasn't going to finish before my book was due back to the library. I'm so glad I pushed through! I loved the side characters; Olivia and Max have such good friends (and coworkers). Ellie and Olivia's talk about work and prioritizing themselves (and each other) really touched me. I want to live (or work) by that same philosophy too. Also, I want to volunteer more like Olivia does--and work out more too lol.

This was one of my favorites of the series. It felt very fresh and new, and had a Scandal-ish vibe that I enjoyed. I appreciated that the issues in the relationship didn’t feel contrived but actually felt like issues a normal couple would have. It made the ending feel much more satisfying and earned. The characters also had great chemistry and were really likable. Overall, great escapist fiction in these dark times.

Omg, this book was too cute. It might be one of my favorite romance novels of all time. It felt so real and was relatable, especially being a Black woman myself. Jasmine really draws you in with this one and it was actually funny which is rare for me. I will admit, it was a bit too slow for me at times and it may have worded better as a shorter read, but I live it all the same. The dynamic of Olivia and Max’s relationship is something many people can relate to, even if you aren’t a lawyer or a Senator. I can’t wait to read more from Jasmine Guillory because this was perfect.
