Out of the series, this one I feel has been the weakest out of them all. I'm still glad I read it, but it's definitely weaker than the others.

When Olivia Monroe, attorney, moves from NYC to LA she unknowingly meets and flirts with Senator Max Powell. They are very attracted to each other but they are looking for different types of relationships. When they finally meet again and begin dating there’s a real chemistry, but will that outweigh their differences? The author didn’t really dig deeply into conflicts like the press and covered more about their dates. This was a pleasant romance with vey sweet characters.

Fun, quick read with some actual substance. Opposites attract.

Firstly, I am a fan of her work after the Wedding Date and I did not realize there was an order but you won’t miss anything or become confused if you don’t read her books in in a certain sequence, some characters and their stories from pass books make an appearance in later ones. Also, don’t expect a synopsis of the book, I bet someone already gave that or read the blurb.

On to the review, I absolutely loved it. I’m not a huge fan of a bunch of deep drama in books, I like enough drama just enough to make my eyebrows raise while reading. And so this definitely passed the test. Also, as a person who gets bored easily, this definitely was a book that kept me attentive to the plot and love the side characters.

I would highly recommend, gets a little spicy at times but not to the point where you feel like you gotta hide what your reading. It’s all around a feel good, and (for me) a bit of a learning experience of how a healthy relationship could look like and how to change yourself for the better for yourself and others. I really appreciated the book.
