I found the author advertising her ebook in one of the Goodreads forums and decided to download it on Amazon for free.

It's a short story about a college student time traveling back and forth between the present and 1932. The writing starts out really amateur-ish but gets "better" when Justina Oceans starts to time travel.

I hate giving negative reviews on books and/or on writing. I tend to be somewhat generous, always giving that half-star for effort. Books are so personal because they stem from one's creativity and imagination, and I feel like a negative review is a blow to your artistic side. But then negative reviews are healthy in a way that they make you grow as a writer too.

The Mirror In My Dorm Room would have been better if it was edited. There were numerous grammatical errors and typos. At one point there was a switch in writing style, wherein the author got "better" with narration and story-telling, which makes me think if there were 2 authors originally instead of one.

Poorly edited, and sometimes feels scripted. It was unemotional and lacked depth. Truly disappointing.
