I absolutely hated this book. My 2nd least favorite King book to date (Apt Pupil is still the worst for me). Everyone is so unlikeable in it, it’s so grimy, it gets very slow in parts and it leaves such a sour taste in your mouth. Very clear this was written when King was into hard drinking and drugs. His disdain for humanity shows quite clearly in this. Surprised he didn’t have the one guy’s cat killed just for fun.

Happy I’m done with this. Also, what’s King’s obsession with milk in this book?

This book had potential but the pacing was incredibly off. The scenes with cujo were terrifying, the rest was boring and pointless. It could have been 100 pages shorter.
The sexual comments about wounded women and 12 year old girls were completely unnecessary.
