LOVED! Blythe?! Are you kidding?! Badasssssss my girl! She is such a boss in this book and I’m here for it! I also loved the introduction of Fate and the tension he brought into everyone’s world! I will say I wasn’t as invested in the overall mystery of this one like I was in Belladonna which is why it’s only a 4 but I still had the best time and I hateee that we have to wait for Wisteria!

when did Death become so bland? i enjoyed this book regardless but it was kind of a letdown? i expected soooo much from Fate, i hope he delivers what his character promised in wisteria.

also am i the only one that can see similarities between this series and caraval? there's so many i'm not even gonna try to point them all out

⭐️4.5! This series only gets better. The only regret is that I read this one too early and need to wait a year for the third book as well as the last book of the series to be released this time next year. Death and Signa's story has come to an end, but Fate and Life's
Spoiler (Blythe’s)
is just beginning.

This was a solid sequel, but it didn’t quite capture the magic of the first book imo. Belladonna was a favourite of mine last year and I was so excited to see more of Signa & Death. But I feel like Death really took a backseat in this book.

Foxglove seemed to be more of a transition book that concluded Signa & Death’s story and sets up
SpoilerBlythe & Fate’s.
Which is ok - but it’s not quite what I was expecting?

We follow a similar set up to the first book whereby Signa (and now Blythe) take it upon themselves to solve a murder before the wrong man is hanged. This time not only with the help of Death, but now his meddlesome ‘brother’ Fate who is convinced that Signa
Spoiler is his reincarnated wife.

I enjoyed the plot, and I liked the love/hate relationship between Death & Fate. Love triangles are not my favourite trope but I thought this was done well.

I will be reading the next book when it comes out, but I have to say that Blythe isn’t my favourite character so I’m a bit hesitant!
