Honestly I can't say I enjoyed this book very much.
The writing style wasn't for me. It felt very early 2000s and it felt like the dialogue was unbelievable. One scene there was a group of people dying laughing at what was, in my opinion, a very mediocre joke. But every character in the whole building was losing their minds.
The romance between the main female character and the neighbor was very unbelievable. They has barely even talked before they started showing extreme PDA. She just got out of a long term relationship with an undeniable jerk, but less than a week later is making out and having sex with a complete stranger. It just didn't flow.
I enjoyed the little twist at the end regarding the knitting community, but I felt like it was super far fetched, as someone who has escaped a domestic abuse situation before. I was unable to suspend my disbelief enough for my brain to justify the storyline.

A hallmark movie in book form! It's a fairly light read, which touches on themes of adoption, family and domestic violence. The overall atmosphere is hopeful.
Moderate: Domestic abuse and Kidnapping
Minor: Addiction, Death, Violence, and Death of parent
