I really enjoyed this installment in Tarr’s Avaryan series. The story never dragged, and while the romance (or anti-romance) was somewhat predictable, it was still entertaining and consistent with the overall series. I would like to know more about the Worldgates and how they work. The author’s comparison (and equivalence) of religion/miracles and magery/magic to be thought-provoking and a bit deeper than one might initially think.
