My first by author and I rarely give novellas anything higher than a three because they’re not fleshed out. This one had a slightly different issue. Maria keeps telling little wren not to look him in the eye but I feel Alejandro is not the man she is warned about. The connection between the two is not Stockholm so not sure where it develops unless little Wren is that easy from being fingered. Also Alejandro is married so that makes it quite taboo when Wren falls for a sex trafficker.

Quick. Dark. Good.
This was pretty good.
For a captive/captor romance it did feel like it was missing something. Maybe it suffered from being a novella, but I still found the story enjoyable. The banter was good, and they story flowed well even though it was quick.
Had this been a full length I think it could have been a five or even better TBH. If you like romance with dark themes, then I would check this out!
