This was interesting! All about the ways that women's lives were better under socialism (but acknowledging the ways that state socialism also was not great). I feel as though having sex in the title was a little bit a marketing ploy but you know it worked on me. The last chapter was a little bit "get out and vote!" but like. I suppose voting Is important.

Thought-provoking and immensely inspiring. Also extremely familiar in its analysis and depictions of post-Soviet Eastern Europe.

All in all has some very interesting points such as sexual theory with sex as a commodity within capitalism, equal rights leading to better intimacy etc.
However the actual title was discussed in a small fraction of the book and lacked depth, which was a shame.
Also although nothing can be completely objective I feel like the book would have gone down better without occasional snide remarks on incels and misogynists. Like I get it and it would normally get a laugh out of me but didn't match the tone of the book and so made it more of a "preaching to the choir" type of work. Whereas I think everyone would benefit from reading it.
