When I finish a Murakami's book, I can't tell if it was genius or awful. But I certainly can't get it off my mind.

A guy I really like gave me this book on our fourth date because we'd talked about how significant it was to him in his early 20s and it's one of his favourites so it was such a pleasure to read it with that in mind. Also the first time I've ever annotated a book. I was hooked from the very first paragraph as I was introduced to Murakami's very distinctive and beautiful writing style. I think he has some of the most memorable metaphors and turns of phrase I've ever read. I also liked the way that the book morphed from one thing into something quite different to what I was expecting, especially as we got to know the narrator more and more. I can’t claim to really understand what happened in the end as it was pretty strange but it was interesting reading everyone’s theories on Reddit nonetheless. Short, sweet but also twisted and beguiling. Thanks Carlo x

Nada como el mundo de Murakami, entre más libros leo de él más me siento inmersa en este mundo mágico, donde las personas que se sienten solas (como yo) de alguna forma encuentran a alguien que las hace sentir vivas otra vez.
