Entertaining, a few plot holes like how heresay becomes fact in convincing someone is guilty but I can overlook those. the romance itself endeared the H to me more than the h.

A little to fast paced for my liking, the characters moved through the relationship too fast

With all the drama going on in her life the one thing Hayden needs is a good no-strings-attached one night fling. The last thing she needs is a new relationship (especially when she's already on a break from another), or at least that's what Hayden thinks. Enter Brody, Left wing forward for her fathers team(not that she knows that yet), Drop dead gorgeous body, and done with being a playboy. Their first night together was mind blowing, but that's all that it was supposed to be. Now Brody is fighting to prove to her that he's not just another rink jock and that they have a real connection. Of course all of this might go a lot smoother if it wasn't for her fathers divorce and accusations of bribe's and gambling weren't being thrown at his team, the very team that Hayden's father happens to own!

Over all 4 stars.

Despite the fact that this is one of the earliest books I’ve found from Elle Kennedy, I enjoyed this one more than the others I’ve read. While the writing itself was probably worse, and the hockey knowledge was SO MUCH WORSE, I found the story easier to handle. I usually struggle with the outlandishness of the characters’ sex lives or the over the top dramatics, but with this one I found the sex scenes more palatable and found the drama to actually make a lot of sense in the lives of these characters. Mostly because I’ve been a hockey fan long enough to see some truly terrible things come out of franchises and see how they (and the league) have handled it. I think the main character’s dad being the owner was a little out there since coaches really are not paid well enough to buy a hockey team. Even if the author did try to explain it away. I found that I could really root for these characters and their romance. Overall, not a bad way to spend an afternoon when your uterus is attacking you and all you can do is lay on a heating pad.

Good! Hot.

I like the smart woman and the athletic hottie pairing. But. This book had a couple plot twists and some gaps. I enjoyed it but like the Briar books better.

Hockey scandals, one night stand that turns into much much more, great story about what we think we want and what we end up getting.
