A great horror short story collection, in my humble opinion, is hard to put down and, at the same time, is hard to continue reading. This magnificent collection fills this need to overflowing!

The stories started out okay and progressively got better. I liked Strange Weather more, but this is a good collection.

Hill is consistently very good and occasionally just flat out brilliant as in Late Returns. Haunting story that deals a lot with grief and the best in the collection. The Tall Grass is also pretty cool, written with his father, the one and only Stephen King. Taken as a whole, I prefer 20th Century Ghosts but there is much to recommend in Full Throttle for the horror and supernatural fan alike.

There were some really great stories worth 5 stars and others that I didn't enjoy at all and was just reading to say I finished them. Overall a 3/5.

It's the good, but mostly, the bad and the ugly of short story collections
