liked the writing, I liked the concept. I liked the inclusion of history but I have some real huge issues with how the children were treated and the fact that this never really gets addressed in the book, rather ending with the mother giving excuses and still being loved by her children despite her completely neglecting them in the short time she was their principal caretaker. I just can't get over that. I am curious about the other books, though. Like I said, I liked everything else.
