A quick read for me, which I will happily recommend to just about anyone. I was engaged in the story and the characters and I wanted to get to the revealing ending of this well-paced who-dun-it. Of course, the author reveals the WHO early in the story, but the how and why are revealed as the tale unfolds. Interestingly, I found the main character to be pretty unlikeable, yet I empathized with her. Now I need a sequel with Mark as our main character….

It has been a long time since I enjoyed a book so much! Love love love it. The plot twists, the character development, how easy it is to be drawn into it and be lost in Helena's Ross world. An incredible experience and a great writing form the author!

This was a very quick read, it only took me a few days. The main character should be unlikable but you find yourself relating to her. The book is a thriller, drama and it’s heartbreaking all at the same time. The story is a book inside a book! It tells the story in present tense, with flashbacks and memories. A very well-written, enjoyable book! I definitely will be reading more of Alessandra’s books! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “If you lie enough times, no one believes your truth.”

4.5 stars. It was a good read, I was hooked fast. Some may think it was so slow… but maybe those are people who don’t have experience with trauma. I really connected with the main character. Sad story, but a good read for me.

Listened to this on Spotify. 2.5 rounded to a 3. I can’t help but wonder if the audiobook format hindered my enjoyment of this book. Listening to it made the story feel really drawn out and I almost DNF. The reveal wasn’t as big of a payoff or juicy twist as I was anticipating.

I absolutely loved this. I have no negatives about this book at all, and would reccomend it to anyone who likes a good drama or thriller as this manages to be both.
