I loved Danielle Valentine’s Two Sides to Every Murder so I was excited to read this one as well. I really enjoyed it. Love the slasher vibe with nods and mentions to all the slasher/horror movies from the 90s plus some current true crime podcasts.

I liked that there were many characters with different subplots that had you suspicious and guessing everyone at some point. I did end up guessing what happened but that’s only because I am a thriller/mystery fanatic and didn’t take away from the book at all.

I unfortunately thought the ending was abrupt and left some unexplained storylines. I was thankful for the *bonus chapter* that added a bit of clarity/confirmation of what I suspected.

Overall loved this slasher, thriller, time travel/supernatural-ish  with a dash of romance type of read and would recommend it along with Two Sides to Every Murder.

♡ Slasher Movie
♡ Light Time Travel
♡ Questionable Ending

Definitely had the Happy Death Day vibe (though I haven’t watched that yet) when it came to the time travel.  Getting to live the role of a character stuck in a slasher movie and seeing how it changed with each decision Alice made.

It was entertaining to hear all the horror movie references and conversations about how things would play out if it were a movie.  I’d definitely watch this if it gets an adaptation… but what the hell was that ending?!

Beginning was a little slow but it def picks up and is entertaining. Legit didn't know who the killer was until the reveal. And what a reveal it was!
Kind of reminded me of My Heart is a Chainsaw in some aspects with all the horror movie references, the main characters being into horror movies, and the main characters talking/thinking about finals girls and how to be like them.
I will say with everything that happened, the ending was not my fave. Is it shocking? Yes. Is it satisfying? Absolutely not.

I’m so mad but also so amazed. This was such a twisty ya book that constantly kept me guessing. I’m so upset yet so happy with how great this story was. A twisted Halloween take on it’s a wonderful life
