It鈥檚 a thriller so the writing isn鈥檛 as flowery/deep as I usually like to read, but this one was still 馃槝馃憣馃徎 chefs kiss
There were so many twists and so many different factors that actually kept me entertained and hooked into what would happen. So aspects were predictable (how different can you possibly make a thriller?) but still fun to watch it play out and keep guessing

Spoiler
Bartz seems to abandon the fascinating storyline about Wren and Alex鈥檚 breakup as soon as Roza鈥檚 evil plan is revealed. I was hoping that the book would have something meaningful to say about the dynamics of friendship, queerness, and friendship breakups, but instead Wren and Alex made up in about two paragraphs with some hasty apologies and the issue is never explored any further.Graphic: Murder, Torture, Gun violence, Toxic friendship, Drug use, Emotional abuse, Alcohol, and Schizophrenia/Psychosis
Moderate: Sexual content, Cursing, Blood, Vomit, Panic attacks/disorders, Gaslighting, Bullying, Sexual assault, and Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Slavery, Abandonment, Child abuse, Fire/Fire injury, Sexism, Racism, Cultural appropriation, and Confinement
