Just when the story picks up, it leaves readers on another cliff hanger much like the novel it depicts. The illustration flow has improved but there is so much dialogue and exposition. Sadly it seems that the story only moves ahead when the phone rings, or some one texts. Or somebody gets taken. Valentine's need to collect the mortal instruments isn't clear in this book. Heavy plot armor for certain characters. Still entertaining as always, but so cringe to see Clary and Jace talk about their feelings.

This part of the story is GREAT! I thought this volume is a perfect representation of the book, though still a but simple for my taste. The type of media makes this story feel so different than the books do, but both are great!
