Unexplainably beautiful, breathtaking, mesmerizing, and all of the positive, heartfelt epithets there are. I felt physical pain while trying to read the epilogue for over 2,5h (I kept bursting into tears every few words). I don’t think I have ever read something that created so many emotions inside me. I fell in love with the character. With they’re wonderful relationships. Not only the polyamory between the main character (Jem and Tessa’s gentle yet powerful love; desire, passion and overwhelming strength of Will and Tess’ eternal devotion and finally one of my favorite relationships I’ve discovered - Will and Jem’s parabatai bond, full of commitment, understanding, unity and Beaty beyond explaining), all of them, all of the nuisances, every tiny detail. I could talk and write about The Infernal Devices for hours and hours, and hours...
Thank you, Cassie. For another one of a kind story.

I can't believe that it's over. I can't believe that I finally finished TDI. I am in shock. O.O SOMEONE HIT ME!!!

I loved every single moment of it. I was always a WillxTessa. I guess the ending turned out something like the ending of [b:Vampire Knight, Vol. 17|16146049|Vampire Knight, Vol. 17|Matsuri Hino|/assets/nocover/60x80.png|22006042], when
Spoilerthe female protagonist is what I call "ultimately unable to choose ONE mate"
.

I guess that after reading the end, which is in the year
Spoiler2008
, and I read what Tessa says to Jem about Magnus, I can finally set my heart at ease knowing that at some point in time, Tessa
Spoilerwas at least able to see what became of some descendants of Herondale, Lightwood, and Fairchild
.

And another fun part! Charlotte is the best Institute Head ever! Now, I know how the Fairchild lineage continued. But, since finding out that Sophie
SpoilerAcended and became a Shadowhunter
, it makes me try to recall which branch of the family our current children Alec, Isabelle, and the now-deceased Max come from. Elder or Younger?

Curious Questions: Will Tessa ever come face to face with the descendants of times past? Who the heck is Church and is Church
SpoilerChairman Meow, whom Magnus takes with him to New York and appears in TMI
? And how the heck does Jem
Spoilerremain Brother Zachariah even though he is no longer a Silent Brother in City of Glass
? (Okay, very strangely phrased question, but I hope it comes through clearly) This book REALLY raises a lot of questions...*hopes things will be made clear*

Cool Things: THE WHOLE THING'S A FRICKIN' PREQUEL! EVERYTHING HAS TO BE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweetness: I am just a WillxTessa fans, but I am sure that JemxTessa fans will love the ending as well.

Whoa, whoa, WHAT NOW?!: What the freak is wrong with
SpoilerIthuriel! He gets captured by Mortmain AND VALENTINE?!?!?! This angel REALLY needs to be more careful
!!!! I wonder if he said anything to Jace when they meet in [b:City of Glass|3777732|City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, #3)|Cassandra Clare|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1369452339s/3777732.jpg|3443248]? It's been so long, and I am currently unable to find a copy of it to check...

Will, I will NEVER forget you...

i’m finally done and all i have to say is i’m in so much pain. i lost count how many times i’ve cried reading the whole book, but even the epilogue itself i’ve lost it countless times. five? seven times? idk cause who’s counting. anyway i need to go and heal now, somehow.

so many things happened that i don’t remember from my first read but i loved it all so much. maybe it’s nostalgia and how much i love these characters that’s making me rate this 5 stars, but idc because i felt like i was them and that trumps all other aspects for me
