Okay, now we're doing a little bit better than the last one. Still not great, but better. The fourth star on this specific rating might be more of a "good, please keep it at this level and don't fall back to what was happening before" star than a truly-deserved one, but this one was better than the last one. I don't know how I'm going to be able to get through the remaining four, however.

I really love this series but wasting the whole book following a lead to who A is only to find out it isn't really A, is getting old. As soon as they started suspecting the newest A I couldn't help but roll my eyes. I knew the supposed person(s) supposed to be A wasn't really A and it was frustrating to have the characters keep saying "Omg, this person is A, look at this evidence".

As much as I love this series, I will be really glad when Sara finally writes who A is and its all done and over with. Nothing is worse than seeing a good series get drawn out so much that its no longer interesting because every little detail is predictable.

(Review from 2013)

THESE BOOKS ARE TOO ENTERTAINING! They keep coming with twists and turns and I don't care if they're not the most quality books, and yes the author is milking this franchise for all that it's worth, but these books keep me on the edge everytime I turn a page, and if that's not the sign of a "good" book, then I don't know what is.

I'm just left with so many questions, as usual. Is Ali A?????? And if she is, how did she get on the boat????? How come she knows everything???? What's up with the freaky giggle and blonde hair they always see????? Are they making it up in their mind???? What happened to Graham???? I'm sorry for overusing questionmarks but I am one big question mark at the moment.

I need the next book. Now.

I really enjoyed this book. I do agree with many people, that this series needs to have a solid conclusion and end soon, but this is the series I read out of enjoyment. I read it to have a mystery (one that's tough to crack) to read. I just hope it doesn't end with an A like the one in book 8. One that you didn't even know was a possibility.
I read this soon after I went on my cruise, so that was epic. I would've liked to know more about the ports, since I love Puerto Rico, but this was still fantastic. I read it in two days.

This book got me into a reading slump. It took me so long to read because I get so mad. These girls are so incredibly stupid. It is unbelievable.

Each book in Arc 3 (Book 9-12) has followed the same pattern. We get a flashback from Spring or Summer (or whatever) where one of the girls does something stupid and the other girls have to help. Then, someone from or related to that flashback will be introduced to the story and the girls are 100% sure they are A without any actual evidence. Then, they act weird around this person. In the end, it is revealed they were not A. To me, this is lazy writing. These last 4 books have been obvious cash grabs. The author wanted to make more money by continuing the series and did not put ANY effort into them at all. It is infuriating when I actually enjoyed the first 8 books. They weren’t flawless masterpieces, but they were entertaining and it actually felt like, Sara Shepard/the author had spent time planning out storylines, and that she actually cared about the series and its characters.

Also, the two As storyline came out of nowhere. It made no sense why Naomi and Graham would work together. The girls were so sure about it, but the author did not make it believable at all. It also felt random that suddenly the girls theorize about there being two As. There obviously is or else, the author wouldn’t have put that in, right?

I don’t care for any of the girls’ romances. I don’t like Mike, I don’t like Reefer, I don’t like Jordan. Noel is boring, but he might be the one I like the most. It is just not realistic that Emily meets this random girl, Jordan, and in what seems like days, Emily falls in love with her. Then, Emily finds out she is a CRIMINAL, and still, Emily was ready to run away with this stranger to Thailand. Away from her family, her friends, everything!

I really did not think this series could get any worse, but here we are. I will read the last 4 books, but if they are just as bad as this one, it will be extremely difficult. I hope it will get better as, in the end, the girls finally used a brain cell and realized Ali was alive and still A.

I just want to be done with this series.
