For once i started thinking tht i was going to give it 4 or 5 stars and how wrong was i.

The twist here is that Aurora never woke up and she is trapped in a dream. I really wanted Malf. to be the good guy but well.

This was a hot mess. I loved the start, it was unique and fun but then things started to get really slow and it became confusing. It was the most confusing thing i have ever read i swear. It seemed like the author tried to do a complicated thing and she failed. During more than half of the book i was questioning everything like wait how old is she, how does time work, how much time has passed, wtf is going on??

The romantic plot is dissapointing. The fall in love at first sight and there is no development at all. It was something like this:

-Girl i love you
- why??
-idk bcs i do
-well then i will love you too

And the funny thing is that Aurora seemed to be unconfortable?? Like she saying yes bcs he likes her??? She was vibing and stuff and thats it. THERE WAS NO CHEMISTRY, NOTHING, NADA.

I liked how it ended tho, but i didnt like what happened right before the Epilogue. I swear that scene was like a blurr, i didnt get anything.

Im gonna praise the author and say that i liked Aurora's character development and how she continued to grow even after all happened. She started to know what was going on on her mind and tried to embrace it and change in a better way. She was really childish and then started to realize that she couldnt act that way anymore.

I didnt have hugh expectations until i read the first chapters but what a boomer omg. Still there were scenes that were really good.

I've always liked the Disney story of Sleeping Beauty, and this retelling was amazing. I loved Aurora and Phillip and the surrounding cast. The complexity of this story was really impressive, especially considering the source material. Love this whole series!

I am so disappointed with these books, I was expecting so much more from them. I was not hooked or left feeling intrigued to want to read this one, just kept wishing for it to be over. The way some of the characters are betrayed or described was just so wrong and insulting. I appreciate that this may be someone else favourite but for me I just can't appreciate the writing.

Once Upon a Dream is an adaptation of Sleeping Beauty. Aurora Rose and Philip meet in the woods before her 16th birthday party and wedding. Neither realize that they are betrothed. Aurora had spent the past 16 years in the woods being raised by the good fairies p Fauna, Flora, and Merryweather. She was unaware of her true identity. We follow Aurora Rose coming to terms with choices that everyone made for various reasons. It definitely turned the fairytale on it's head.
