Four old people meet every Thursday to discuss unsolved crime cases. The cases come from one of their friends, who used to work with the police. Penny is now incapacitated from several strokes.

Before long, they get a real murder to deal with. The murder club deftly involves themselves in the police investigation.

This was great fun. Fantastic set of characters, brilliant comic timing and I didn’t dream of solving anything before the end. There were plenty of secrets revealed along the way.

i love the british jokes (can i call them that?) and overall it's a fun read. there are twists here and there but the actual mystery feels a bit anticlimactic for me
