making sexual advances on your employee when trying to convince her to report sexual harassment she faced at the hands of another employee is deranged behavior. as is threatening to put her over your knee and spank her for “bad behavior” when you’ve barely known her 48 hours.

I feel like the blurb doesn't do this book justisce. It's incredibly heartwarming and sexy and I adored it.

Let’s see…she sent an email to her boss about a guy showing his unrequited feelings for her thinking it was her bff, they flirted a bit, then they met, instantly liked each other, he made a proposition and now she’s having trouble saying no to him.

-Multicultural
-Age gap(14yrs)
-Boss
-Murder/Attempted Murder
-Secret office romance
-Anxiety rep
-Not at work, but definitely at work and loud AF

This book somehow managed to be a perfect storm of almost every trope that I despise (age gap, billionaire, workplace - more specifically boss/employee romance, and instalove) which is honestly kind of impressive. However, because it is Talia Hibbert, I still didn’t completely hate it. This is just not at all the romance for me. I didn’t like the unbalanced power dynamics and I wish the story had taken its time to build a deeper romantic relationship over time. 👥👩🏾‍🦱🧑🏻🤕🌧

This was quite a bit sillier than Talia Hibbert's most recent books, but it also had some moments of that brilliant wit we've come to know and love. And as per usual the chemistry between the couple was very well done.
