More like a 3.5. Not my favorite. It seemed to rush at the end. It was good. Just not my favorite by colleen.

I read this book for the first time years ago and loved it so much. This time around, I was irritated through the entire thing. I honestly didn't even read the last 50 pages. Over it.

Maybe Somday was a terrific read, an emotional and heartfelt journey about love and the power of music.

Sydney is a young woman trying to figure out life: she’s in a relationship with her boyfriend Hunter, but she has doubts. As do her parents about her decision to change her major from pre-law to music education. Her daily moments of peace come from across the apartment courtyard: a man playing guitar, every night at 8:00. She’s enamored by his music and by the sight of him. She’s not quite sure why though.

Sydney’s world unfortunately gets turned upside down when the mystery “guitar guy” reveals information about her boyfriend and roommate that she couldn’t believe. Suddenly she’s in Ridge’s apartment, soaking wet from the rain and not sure where her life is headed next.

Maybe Someday creates a beautiful tapestry of music and love beautifully woven together that truly shows you don’t choose who you fall in love with; you just do the best you can to make sure your life and your mind can catch up with your heart.

It pains me to give Miss Hoover such a low rating but this whole book did not sit right with me. The main character is a hypocrite and straight up delusional. The love interest is a fuckboy who can’t make up his mind about which girl he wants (so he tries to have both). The two find their attraction building and can’t be together yet, but maybe someday. Why not? Because he has a girlfriend who he doesn’t want to leave. -____-. He cheats on her though. Super cute.

The sappy ending was cringe. I’ll keep reading Hoover, but I’m done with this series.

This book was the perfect beach read. I really loved how CoHo wrote Ridge in terms of him being deaf. It was so interesting to see how he worked. It definitely frustrated me at many many times but overall I love the story. The music side of it with writing songs & playing the guitar was a great addition. Not my fav CoHo read but definitely a sweet story!!

Colleen Hoover is one of the best romance story-tellers and she didn't disappoint even this time.
Maybe Someday starts when the main character, Syndey, finds out her boyfriend has been cheating on her with her best friend and roommate. On her twenty-second birthday. She has nowhere to go so her neighbour, Ridge, sends his roommate to go get her. Sydney has always listened to Ridge playing the guitar in his balcony. Later, Ridge found out that she makes lyrics to his songs, he makes her send then to him. So when she is basically homeless, he makes a deal. If she helps him write songs, she can live there for free. What she didn't know is that Ridge is deaf. And that he has a girlfriend. And even though she tries to resist her attraction to him, she can't help herself. And he can't either.
I'm not going to spoil it to you because to understand this book, you have to read it. But I love all these lyrics, these special moments between them, all of it. You can't choose when and with who you fall in love. But cheating isn't okay and I think Ridge doesn't deserve to be with any of them. However, I really ship him with Syndey. The love between them is something indescribable. They don't need words to communicate with each other and that's true love. The reason why I don't like love triangles is that in the end, I hate all the characters. And that's what happened with these ones. I love them but I hate them.
If you are looking for a really good romance which will touch your heart, definitely go for his one.

This is my first CoHo in a while.. I wasn’t too curious about what was going to happen next, but I did like the book.
