Duncan and Kimbra work together and she needs him to go attend her wedding as a plus one to avoid the dreaded kiddie table. They pretend to date to keep her family off her back and avoid the twenty one questions from her parents. I liked Duncan and Kimbra together as a couple. They are both like minded and want certain things in life and aren't afraid to chase their dreams. They have some pretty hot sexual chemistry as well and you will definitely be fanning yourself while reading!

As a fan of Jade Sinner, I was so happy to find out who they really were and imagine my surprise one half was the Dark Queen herself Aleatha Romig!! I previously read this story when it was a novella called Duncan the Deal. I enjoyed the story as a novella but loved it even more as a full length story!! It was nice to reacquaint myself with the family especially Grandma Helen.I want to be just like her when I grow up!! This is a sweet, feel good, insta love story that will have you smiling when it's all said and done. This is the perfect kind of book for after a heavy read and you won't be disappointed! I love when an author can switch up genres and Romig did an great job with story!! It was so nice to see a different and lighter side of Aleatha and I look forward to reading more of these books from her.

Loved this book! I definitely recommend it, it's such a light hearted read. So different from the other books Aleatha writes, but she can definitely write light and warm hearted too.

This was the best romance I've read in a while! The conflicts were significant but weren't out of the extraordinary and were resolved beautifully. I loved Duncan and Kimbra's relationship and chemistry and it was definitely a steamy read. The only thing I would change is the beginning of their relationship. I would've liked more of a build-up.

Typical NA story.

Immature and lacking confident H/H.

The premise had potential but fell short as an entertaining romance.

Great!

I am a huge fan of the author and was excited to see her go outside her comfort zone with this book. I love office romances and this was a great one. I think she proved she can handle romantic comedy and I hope she does more.

4 Plus One Stars

I quite enjoyed this book, I liked that Kimbra was a little insecure about somethings but forceful about others.

I like that Duncan is a playboy a dawg if you will but he saw something in Kimbra right from the beginning. He kept his eye on her.

I very much enjoyed the fake relationship and how it all came to be. The family omg that was FUNNY. I mean come on grandma was the freaking bomb!

Overall I liked narration; I did think Samantha’s voice was a bit to mature for Kimbra. I guess I just saw Kimbra as a little younger and not so sure of herself as Samantha portrayed her.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Fun, Light, & Sexy!

This is my first book by Aleatha Romig and I wasn't disappointed. I'm not familiar with her darker side but her light side was a joy to read. I love office/boss romances so I was excited for this one. Duncan is quite mysterious in the beginning but I enjoyed getting to know what was going on in his mind. Duncan and Kimbra have a sexy adventure but there is plenty of heart put into the story as well. Can't wait for the next 'light' side of Aleatha!
