Man, was this tense! These volumes tend to be packed, but this one in particular was wild.

  1. We finally explore more of the Proprietress' (Kyoko) backstory and how she felt unloved and neglected because Itsuki never loved her.
  2. Tsubaki wrestling with his feelings as he wonders if Nao is Sakura. A few volumes ago, he promised that he would believe her, and we can progressing through the story just how different he is from the cold and calculated individual he was at the start. Now that he finds out Nao is Sakura, what'll happen?
  3. Shiori- the girl who got jilted at the altar. In all this time, I never once thought about the poor girl, but as she enters the scene this volume, I am filled with deep suspicion. Especially since she somehow wants to be involved in Tsubaki's life again and warns him of the rumors surrounding Nao.
  4. I suppose Tagikawa and Tsubaki are half brothers??
  5. The Proprietress was the one who framed Nao's mom.
  6. Yamaguchi-san is the real MVP.
  7. 3 years later!! I didn't expect a time skip, but ooh boy am I looking forward to what's happened!

I'm mentally exhausted reading this. But I love the game-changing cliffhanger—and the time skip!! Also, I knew it! The baby wouldn't be kept on the plot, I just couldn't imagine how that would play out in the middle of the story lol. Also, lol I felt so emotional seeing the pained expression in Tsubaki's face when he found out the truth! And, I swear the angst in this volume is killing me!

So, the cat's out of the bag. I'm not surprised by Tsubaki's initial reaction, but with the time jump, I look forward to their reunion.
I do hope his mother gets what's coming to her though and The Old Master is alright had didn't actually just show that mad woman where his will was being kept. Like, he can't be that dumb and naive to think she wouldn't do something to secure her future through her son.

I've been waiting almost a year for this volume, and it was worth the wait! While I could see some of the pieces coming together there were still several shocking moments. Here's hoping I won't have to wait as long for volume 8. :)

All that drama for nothing??? The characters are so annoying. Like a bad soap opera.
