It was cute. I'm not sure it was as good as her other stories, but it was a fun story that I enjoyed. I'm not sure the mystery subplot really worked for me (the idea that someone might be trying to sabotage her on set). It just didn't land for me at all...and it was kind of a big part of the story. I did like Lacey, but she was hard for me to connect to for some reason. I really liked Donavan, but it was sometimes hard to tell where he was coming from. Anyway, overall I enjoyed it--finished it in a day--but it wasn't as awesome as I wanted it to be.

*I received a free ARC of Fame, Fate and the Fist Kiss from HarperTeen via Edelweiss. This has in no way influenced my review which is honest and unbiased.*

2.5 stars

Yeah, my rating kind of says it all, I think. I just didn't really enjoy this story. Lacey was rather boring, and so was her life in many ways. Movie set and all. I didn't connect with any of the characters, and I was rather happy when it was over.

Full review to come.

It was cute. Not my favourite Kasie West book, but it was still a fun read. I liked that there was character cross-over from one of her other books, as that is always a fun touch. However, I didn`t find myself as invested in Lacey`s character as I typically get in other West characters. And the supporting characters weren`t the most likeable.

It`s still worth the read though, and it still gets a solid 4 star rating. It`s everything you could expect from a Kasie West book.

Always a fan of Kasie West, and this book is no exception! I love the slow burn, and having to wait until the very end to reveal the truth! So good, just started off a little slow, but really picked up soon on!

I love Kasie West and when I was offered an ARC from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review I jumped at the chance. What's not to love? You've got a movie set with a major star, cute tutor and zombies.

Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss is a charming romance with a pinch of drama and mystery. Lacey has dreamed of becoming an actress and when she was offered a leading role in a feature film she jumped at the chance. But, fame always comes with a price. From trying to bond with her cast mates, to keeping up with school and the visits her father routinely makes to the set, Lacey feels like her dream is spinning out of control.

All though Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss was a fun read it fell a little short for me. Interactions between some of the characters feels like there should have been other moments to get them to where they are, but there was not. Also the story seemed to be a little rushed and characters didn't seem to have much to them.

Over all it was fun. Besides, who could hate a Kasie West book?

I'm sad to only be giving 3 stars to a book by Kasie West, which is one of my favorite authors.
It's funny that her last book I read it had been a while since I had stayed up reading because I was loving it so much, and with this one it had been a while since I had taken such a long time finishing one book. I don't know exactly what it was about this book that was keeping me so disconnected. The overall theme of filming and acting are not usually my favorites and it seemed like the book was dragging a lot and nothing much was happening.
I had to force myself to keep reading for a bit longer then I usually do when I'm not that into a book. But I'm glad I did, I couldn't just dnf this book because I know I usually enjoy them.
By the last 150 pages it good a little better and I still enjoyed the story, but this was not my favorite couple, just because I didn't feel the chemistry between them, I don't think they had that much contact in order to fall in love, but I still liked them together farther into the book.
So, this is probably my least favorite from Kasie, but I'll still keep reading everything she puts out, and I am incredibly excited for her other book that is coming out this year.
