The story is awesome, but the artwork in this book absolutely blew me away. This is the second picture book I've read illustrated with photos of clay work, but I couldn't believe the detail Suzanne Del Rizzo achieves in her work. It's simply astounding. I'm very excited to find other books she has illustrated!

Deborah Kerbal tells a wonderful story about a place where the sun doesn't set for days, week, and months. Juno, the sun dog, has as much energy as the sun brings their town bright days. Unfortunately all the humans go are sleeping while she wants to play.

What's really special about this story is the story brought to life with Suzanna Del Rizzo's art done with polymer clay and acrylic. There are two pages I would love to hang on my walls. I will be looking more into this artist for sure.
