okay so the writing style is not that bad but it's so annoying to read and there is no payoff, like just why the incest? Also when he knows she's his daughter and still doenst care it's just not it, also how often the n word is said and the racism is just ew, wouldn't recommend this book to anyone (I had to read it for school wouldnt have finished it otherwise)

I like this book decently . Had read it in German this spring, very slowly, slightly abridged version with glossary and lots of discussion. understood much better and read much more fluidly and quickly this time, reading it in French. need to try to read something in german soon so i don't lose it.
