I love this collection of love poems! Love between sisters, new romantic love, old love between old people. I think too often we forget love isn't just that romantic stiff, it's the cement of all our relationships.

Some of these poems gave me some flashbacks to my yearning teenage heart which was nice. I liked her style, very close to my own.

Clearly not meant for me. I found the poetry here very forced. Enjoyed the educational elements- I had no idea there were so many forms of poetry, or so many techniques- but the words felt shoehorned and obvious so the author could make her point. Perhaps that was the point of the whole exercise, but I didn’t enjoy it.

I'm so happy I picked this up! I loved Pat Mora's writing style and it was so cool to see all the different poetry forms she experimented with. As always, not every poem was incredible, but well worth the read!

This collection was really sweet!! I had about twelve poems which I found to be better than the other ones, or really they just hit different. But I'm happy I picked this up! Some felt as though I had written them with my own hands and I guess that was the best part about this book, it's rawness and how much I could relate to it.

This was a cute and fun read! I found myself finishing it on my lunch break at work today because I didn’t want to wait until I got home. I really enjoyed how the author gave us little descriptions of different types of poems that were in this collection

I liked all the different kids of poems included (and their descriptions) but I didn’t like that none of the poems had anything to do with any of the other poems.

Great for aspiring writers and teachers as mentor text for lessons.
