A fabulous picture book biography to pair with Shark Lady or any other about girls setting out for their dreams in male dominated spaces and pushing for more female representation in STEM.

Youngest women to fly solo around the world. First Afghan woman pilot. 2020 published.

This is a really great immigrant story and the illustrations are just gorgeous. It’s a story about bravery and overcoming fears. A story about determination and the success of an immigrant. There is some back matter from the author and also a message from Shaesta herself. I highly recommend this as an addition to picture book biographies.

Such a cool and inspiring book, and absolutely gorgeous to look at! It's hard to believe there are so few female pilots. Hopefully young kids will read this book and be inspired to pursue their dreams and consider careers in STEAM.

Inspiring picture book biography that doesn’t get bogged down by too much text.
