the integration of the story into the setting here is wonderful. I love each and every one of these colonial-era versions of the Marvel characters (Except Rohjaz. fucking awful). Him and the whole use of Roanoke in general is kind of tacky and bad. Really I just wish we got to spend more time with these characters and this world, and that it didn't have the whole time travel plot line. Shame the whole thing kinda fell flat in the end considering the potential it had

the crux of the plot is that captain America was sent to the past and has been masquerading as a Native American to colonists. This is cultural appropriation all on its own, but it also struck me as a very insensitive depiction that leaned heavily on negative stereotypes. Some of the illustrations of violence are a quite detailed, including several drawings of a decapitated head.
