Started October 7th, 2012 - this morning after finishing "John Doe" last night.
Great read! Keeps you guessing till near the end. Nice twists.

This was a typical Tess Gerritsen Rizzoli & Isles book. There was murder. There was mystery. There was suspense. There was humor. I am never disappointed when I pick up one of these books. The characters that are supposed to be liked are well liked.

If you like murder, mystery and suspense you will like any of Gerritsen's books and this one is no exception. I recommend this to anyone that likes a quick read with lots of action.

Many thanks to Net Galley and Ballantine Books for this advanced readers copy.

I picked up this audiobook at the library based on the summary on the back of the case. After some listening, I'm truly baffled at the vast amount of people who enjoy this writer's work. I found the dialogue unrealistic, riddled with clichés and internal dialogue that would find home in a soap opera. Also, as I listened to the audiobook, the narrator's strain to give voice to male characters is apparent and painful. All sounded to me like a child imitating a father or similar person's voice. I got through 2 CDs and skipped to disc 8 because I was mildly interested in what happened, but then didn't make it through that CD either. I tried, I really did....but I didn't feel invested in the story or any connection to a character. In short, I'll be skipping this series.
