While the story had potential and a promising premise, it felt underdeveloped. The characters lacked depth, making it difficult to connect with them or care about their journeys. There was also a noticeable lack of suspense and elaboration throughout the plot, which could have added much-needed intrigue and emotional engagement.
With more attention to character development and a stronger focus on building tension, this book could have been much more compelling. As it stands, it feels more like a missed opportunity than a fully realized story.

A Sweet, Magical, Romantic Comedy!

I really enjoyed this story. The whole magical contest thing was exciting and seeing Callan and Aria fall in love was so sweet. This is one of those stories that has you smiling, and everyone around you wonders “What is she smiling about?”

This was such a cute little witchy read. It put me right into the spooky season mood. I really enjoyed the enemies to lovers vibe that was going on. Although it was really only one sided enemies to lovers, which I thought was a great spin on it. I loved the journey Aria went through to get her magic and really understand herself. Big fan of an underdog story and that’s exactly what this was. The trials of course were so fun and I loved how Aria was able to show all her high school bullies that she was more than capable of winning.
