I have to say that this is one of the best celebrity memoirs that I have read in a long time. Going in, I thought it was probably going to be like a lot of other recent memoirs where nothing is talked about in detail or blame is placed on others. However, I was pleasantly surprised how in depth and honest Jessica Simpson was in this book. She was very open about her struggles and flaws and didn’t shy away from relationship details. I learned that there is a lot more to her than meets the eye and found her to be relatable and endearing.

A great tell-all, super interesting. If I ever catch Nick Lachey or John Mayer on the streets, it's over for them. Also reminded me how awesome her music is, now I'm a Jessica Simpson fan.

I can’t believe how much I loved this. No shame. I followed her when she was married to Nick (Nick is a Cincinnati fav), and have in a way grown up with her (same age). Jessica has an interesting story to tell and frankly, I enjoyed hearing about the Hollywood dating scene.

I think she’s a truly good person inside and this book felt like chatting with a friend.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I remember when Jessica debuted, when she was a “Newlywed” and onward to her current life. I can appreciate and sympathize with her struggles, she really laid it all on the line for this book. It gives insight into how the industry can change a person, how grueling being in that line or work is and at the end of the day... Everyone in the spotlight is still a human being. Highly recommend!

Here's what I knew about Jessica Simpson before my dental hygienist recommended her audiobook.
* she was a blond ditz
* she was married to Nick Lachey and they had a reality show
* she was Daisy Duke
* she had one hit song

Here's what I know about her now after reading her book.
* she's an incredibly resilient woman with more demons than I could possibly have known
* the price of fame is so much higher than I ever thought
* she's amazingly generous with her time and her money
* she's married with three kids - and not with Nick Lachey
* she's been through a LOT - both publicly and privately
* she's someone I would love to sit down and have a conversation with.
* (I also learned that Nick Lachey was neither a Backstreet Boy nor in N Sync. Clearly my knowledge of boy bands ended with NKOTB.)
