I enjoyed the concept of the book but felt like it could have been written so much better.

Can't believe I'm rating a VE Schwab book so low, but this was such a let down. The characters were flat and mostly unlikable and the plot was completely unimaginative. It didn't feel creative or fresh. The audiobook certainly didn't help, it was so hard to take any of it seriously with the voice inflections/tones used.

Why did I wait so long to read this book? WHY?????? It was so good. The magic system was intricate yet easy to understand. The world building with the four londons was so well executed and the characters were so likable.

I wanna know more about Kells past, he’s one of the only Antaris in existence and I wanna know how he came to be a “royal”

Lila is so witty and badass. She fights her own battles and adds such light and heart to the story. I loved the multiple POV, the action, adventure and the traveling thru worlds. When Kell says “I just knew it wasn’t you” I melted
