Another great chapter in the life of some of the best characters written. Kelesy, Rin, and Kishan. This book starts out with Kelesy living with her choice to leave her prince and return to school. She is unhappy and tries dating to get over her broken heat. She is finds happiness only to have it torn away again. Now she and bad boy brother Kishan are on the prowl to solve another quest and save to one she loves. Things get quite a bit more complicated for the three.
Heartbreaking, funny and filled with wonderful myths and historical tales.

UPDATE: Nov 2017
This is my second time fully reading through this novel and the series and let me just say how frustrating it is to read this over and know the ending and what's gonna happen and watch the characters f*ck everything up. Ren and his sacrifice makes me mad because he picked the stupidest trigger for his memory that explains his mistrust for Kelsey and his brother. Honestly man, just pick a better trigger, or something, jeez. Kelsey is weird in this novel because she allows more and more of Kishan's advances towards her and I feel like she could have avoided most of them and Kishan's falling in love with her. She ain't helping any of it. And making Kishan not kiss her until he knows that she and Ren are through?? This only makes for 10 000 more complications in the third book and I'll have to trudge through it again. Somehow I've managed not to throw this book across the room yet. Hmm, we'll see.
As for why I'm rereading a dumb series again, I don't really know why. Maybe its to see if I still love the series as much as I did when I was a kid/teen. The answer to that is no. But I'll admit that this series is the reason why I love fantasy and YA novels so much now. So I have that to thank at least.

I have only a few things to say.
1) terribly sad that Ren got taken. But happy about the time spent with Kishan and how she bonds with the fam.
2) Lokesh needs to get a life!! And move on!!!
3) the fact that Kelsey almost dies every time there's danger intrigues me.
4) finally, how much I want to punch Ren in the face, no matter how much I love him, for being so sacrificial.

Why is it that when it comes to love triangles one of the choices never really gets a fair chance. The main character Kelsey is annoying, why string along a man if you know you have feeling for another. Have a heart and let the boy go. I understand that this adds intrigue to the story but personally I think it just show how selfish Kelsey truly is. If I were on the opposite side of her love I would run, not just in the fear of getting heart broken but also because she truly has no clue what love is... (oh you were kidnapped protecting me and now you are getting tortured... ok. well let me leave you there to go on an adventure with your brother and hope we can find you later) ugh. Seriously, they are rich and well connected and you can't find out where the bad villain has taken him... ok whatever.
Beside the messed up romance and false love declarations... it seems the actual plot line can't continue forward unless, that's right Kelsey points out a big piece of the puzzle and oh yeah everyone understands now what they must do to break the curse. Give me a break. This is ridiculous. Mr. Kadam the 300 year old grandfather/guardian speaks over 50 languages and has studied mythology and Indian culture can't put these things together. BS!
BTW where the hell does Houck get her information because yeah the history and culture of India is so not what is described in these falsehood stories. It is like she twisted everything to fix however, to make this story believable... if you are going to use someone else's culture get it right or you are going to sound offensive to so many ppl.
In conclusion I can't recommend this book/series, unless you like senseless drama and a predictable outcomes.

Tenhle díl byl rozhodně lepší než první. A Re mi začíná lézt krkem.

This book sure knew how to play with my emotions. For a good half of the book it felt like a roller coaster ride, especially that ending! I don't know how i'm going to cope with what all went down. I'm gonna have to read the next book soon.
This book had many good and bad qualities about it.
I loved the first half, and the last 50 pages. They were by far the best part of the book. I did not like the middle half of the book. It took a strange turn that I wasn't really expecting. Also that love triangle! It is completely pointless and not fair. I like Kishan, I do not like him with Kelsey. I think he deserves better, and I wish Colleen Houck had decided to take his story in a different direction. It would have made more sense, and I would be happy. He needs to be a like a big brother to Kelsey, not a potential boyfriend.
This is not my favorite book in the series, personally I liked the part when they were in Organ best, the rest I could have cared less about. It took me awhile to get used to the direction in which the author is taking this book. That's one of the reasons this book took me so dang long to get through. I am curious though to see how everything plays out, and I want to watch and see if Kelsey chooses Ren(She must choose Ren! I couldn't take it any other way). Hopefully I will pick the reaming books up soon.

Oh my gosh!!! The plot twist of the freaking century! When they revealed the Ren freaking lost his memory??? I was like, GTFO. Holy hell. After the initial shock I was like, "okay, how is Kishan gonna feel about this?" It seems like he is genuinely trying to help his brother remember Kelsey, which is sweet of him considering his feelings. I love Kishan to death omg, he has come a long way. So proud of him! <3 Anyway, poor Kelsey! Ren doesn't remember her at all, and she is just a mess. Now I'm not really all into the lovey dovey, rely-on-someone-else-to-show-me-my-worth, instant googly eyes type relationships. Ugh,lol, which is why this will kind of sort of be good for Kelsey to step back and get her life in order. In my opinion, she is wayyyyyyyy too dependent on Ren for her happiness. Like, what? Girl, I need you to reevaluate your life, thank you. So the situation has its bad as well as its good side. I cannot wait to read the next book, ahhh! This one was pretty awesome.

Colleen did it again with this book. She makes these series so real for me. When I finished reading tigers quest I thought about it for along time afterwards. There is so much depth in these books its not just an ordinary love story, its a fabulous love story. Kelsey did annoy me with some of her choices but I'm glad the way things ended. I am in suspense waiting for the next one!
